Transmissive Aspherical Lens Reflective Aspherical LensPlano convex cylindrical lens is an optical element that converges light in one direction (dimension). It consists of a plane and a convex cylindrical surface, and is a very common basic component in laser and optical systems. The convex surface of a plano convex cylindrical lens has the ability to converge light lines, but its curvature only occurs in one direction. Therefore, it can convert a point light source into a strip-shaped focal line, or compress or focus the incident beam in one dimension. Focal length is the most important parameter of a plano convex cylindrical lens, which determines the lens' convergence ability. Mainly used for laser line generation, beam compression, and spectrometer.
The plano-concave cylindrical lens forms a divergent linear virtual image, which is used to control the size of the beam in one direction. The material of this lens is BK7, so it is not suitable for ultraviolet wavelengths.
The plano cylindrical lens is used in laser scanners, spectrometers, dye lasers, acousto-optics, optical processors, and other similar applications.
We use high-quality optical glass classical optics grinding, polishing processing techniques, surface accuracy of up to λ / 4, the finish may be 40/20. We can also be processed according to customer demand layers.
Cylindrical Lens Vs Spherical Lens: Spherical lenses are lenses taken out from a sphere such as a ball. Whereas cylindrical lenses are lenses taken out from a surface of a cylinder-like a tumbler. Cylindrical lenses have an axis associated with them. Both, spherical and cylindrical power can keep changing through life.
