Transmissive Aspherical Lens Reflective Aspherical LensThe core of a Littrow prism lies in its unique 30° -60° -90° triangular geometry and reflective coating on one side. When uncoated, it serves as a dispersion prism, and when coated, it serves as a beam deflection prism. If used for beam deflection or cavity tuning, the inclined surface needs to be coated with a highly reflective film (such as aluminum film or dielectric film). All transparent surfaces should usually be coated with an anti reflective film (AR film) to reduce surface reflection losses. Mainly used in spectrometers (monochromators), laser cavity tuning, beam bending and reflection, optical delay lines, and interferometers.
