Transmissive Aspherical Lens Reflective Aspherical LensHalf Ball Lens is a special optical element obtained by cutting a spherical lens into a hemisphere. ECOPTIK supplies bespoke ball and half-ball lenses to our customer’s specifications. Ball lenses can be manufactured in quartz to have excellent UV and IR transmission between 185nm to 2000+nm, while sapphire lenses have a higher refractive index allowing a very short fall back length to better facilitate fiber coupling. Our hemispherical lenses provide uniform light scattering and are widely used in fiber coupling, LED collimation, and near-field detection.
