Cemented Lens

Achromatic Cemented Lens

An achromatic doublet is an advanced lens that eliminates chromatic aberration by combining two different optical materials, making it indispensable in imaging systems and precision optics. The cementing process involves bonding two lenses with matching curvatures using optical cement (epoxy resin) to eliminate interface reflection. It is primarily used in microscope objectives, astronomical telescopes, industrial lenses, camera telephoto lenses, as well as laser focusing and collimation systems.
