Anamorphic Prism

Anamorphic Prism is a special and powerful optical element primarily used to alter the shape of laser beams, rather than imaging. Proficient in efficiently converting elliptical laser spots into circular spots while maintaining beam collimation. A typical structure is composed of a pair of wedge-shaped prisms (often right angled prisms) combined at a specific angle and spacing. Uniaxial amplification or reduction of beam diameter. Only change the beam size in one direction (usually the fast or slow axis) without affecting the vertical direction. Based on Snell's law of refraction, a beam of light undergoes refraction when passing through a non parallel interface, and the beam aperture is compressed or expanded. Applied to laser diode beam collimation, fiber coupling, and laser scanning systems.
